Flight Schedule and Connectivity

Passengers can expect the following departure times:

  • From Toronto (YYZ) to LaGuardia (LGA): 7:15 a.m., 2:50 p.m., and 7:25 p.m. (except Saturdays)
  • From LaGuardia (LGA) to Toronto (YYZ): 6:15 a.m. (except Sundays), 9:55 a.m., and 5:30 p.m.

The new service complements Porter’s existing flights to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), increasing travel flexibility between Toronto and the New York metropolitan area.

Enhanced Passenger Experience

Porter Airlines will operate the route using its 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, offering:

  • Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
  • Premium snacks and free beer and wine
  • PorterReserve fare options with extra legroom and priority check-in

Strategic Expansion and Partnerships

With this LaGuardia expansion, Porter strengthens its connections to major U.S. markets. The airline’s interline agreement with JetBlue allows seamless onward travel across the southern U.S. from LaGuardia.

Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting at Porter Airlines, emphasized the importance of the new route:

“The addition of LaGuardia introduces a new dimension to our network, opening more options for existing customers and attracting new travelers in the busiest air corridor between Canada and the U.S.”

Porter’s Growing U.S. Presence

Porter has served New York since 2008, originally offering flights to Newark from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). In 2023, the airline expanded its Newark service to include flights from Ottawa International Airport (YOW).

With the combined Newark and LaGuardia operations, Porter will now provide up to 15 daily roundtrip flights to New York City.

What This Means for Travelers

For Toronto residents, the LaGuardia service adds another convenient option to reach Manhattan faster. While Billy Bishop Airport still serves Newark, Pearson passengers now get easier access to LaGuardia’s modern facilities.

This expansion underscores Porter’s commitment to improving cross-border travel, providing enhanced comfort, better connectivity, and a premium economy experience.
